@everyone So the 1-year anniversary of DW2's launch is almost upon us...  Are there any stragglers still out there, lost in the void?

Just a heads up that the FleetComm admins will be doing some tidying up of the server soon, and part of the house cleaning will be the removal of some obsolete server roles as well as all of the DW2-related channels left over from last year, except the dw2-chat channel which will be renamed distant-worlds-chat and that channel will remain open for DW fleet members from all platforms.

In addition I will be reopening the Distant Worlds Organisers server, which was used for the first 3 months of DW2s pre-planning and discussion back in early 2018.  Access to this will be for the organisation team only for the time being, and it will be used solely for us to discuss, pre-plan, and eventually organise future DW events (if there are to be any - and that will depend wholly upon whether Frontier deliver content a DW event can be built around).  As always, all expeditions will naturally be hosted right here on the FleetComm server.

When FDev reveal what the major 'new era' content update is all about later this year, there may be a public general discussion channel opened on the organisers server, giving everyone from the FleetComm community and elsewhere a platform to discuss all things DW-related...  but we will wait for FDev to make their announcements on future content before deciding anything else moving forward.

We live in hope

In the meantime, with the introduction of Carriers supposedly coming this year, there may be some Carrier-based initiatives and events organised by FleetComm. These will also help trial-run Carrier gameplay - to see how they could fit in with a large scale, deep space expedition.  Stay tuned for that!
